I've joined the Leukemia Society's Team in Training to help raise funds to eliminate Leukemia and its related cancers: lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin's disease. With joining this team I have accepted two important challenges - to prepare for a 26.2-mile marathon and to raise money to the find a cure for these diseases. I think these goals are worthy of my best efforts and your support. I hope that you will help by becoming one of my sponsors.

On June 23rd I will be walk a 26.2 mile marathon in Anchorage, Alaska in honor of Samantha Settle. Completing a marathon is nothing compared to the heroic battle that Samantha has fought.

Samantha is four years old and was diagnosed with leukemia when she was a year old. With the help of cutting edge treatment methods developed through research efforts, Samantha is done with her chemotherapy, and the good news is that her disease is in remission. While Samantha and her family are very fortunate, others with these diseases are not so lucky and research efforts provide their only hope.
